The good folk over at New Attitude had an opportunity to sit down with Al Mohler and Mark Dever at the 2008 conference and ask them some real practical questions on their their personal time in Gods word. These Q&A interviews were sort of an addendum to the ‘08 conference, so not many may be aware of them. Good stuff within!

Stephen over at The Blazing Center had a wonderful heart opening post on keeping our appointments with God. Here’s an excerpt:
But here’s the funny thing. Every morning I have the opportunity for a hang out session with Jesus, yet I’m not excited about it. Every day I have the counsel of the almighty God at my disposal, but I don’t diligently seek it. Every day I have the chance to spend time in the presence of my creator, but I don’t jump at the chance. It’s called my Bible, and it’s called prayer.
Jon Bloom at desiring God has a great entry on remembering why we sold everything to follow the Lord.
Buzzard Blog had a wonderful post on bible reading in full view of the cross. It makes sense…especially for me. He states:
“If you don’t make it to the cross, you’ll make your Bible reading and your relationship with God about your performance rather than about Jesus’ performance. You’ll gravitate away from the gospel and towards religion. Anxiety and fear will take the place of confidence, joy, and rest. Legalism will replace freedom. If your eyes don’t catch a glimpse of the cross as you turn the pages of Scripture, you’re likely to spend much of your day staring at yourself, wallowing in endless introspection, rather than staring at your Savior, delighting in his costly love.”
